Data Management, Production and QC Analyst

Location: Kuala Lumpur - KLCC

Overview of Role:

We are seeking to fill positions in our seismic service teams that will provide data management support; assist with geophysical production services; and implement data quality control (QC) processes.

The successful candidate should have practical experience of digital data manipulation and management, and be extremely proficient with computers.  He or she should be highly organised with an attention to detail, and have the capacity to solve problems and work independently.

The successful candidate will be responsible for some or all of the following:

  • Loading data received from clients into internal formats; exporting data to standard formats for client delivery
  • Performing quality control (QC) on incoming and outgoing data
  • Transcribing data to appropriate media for client delivery (e.g. tape, usb disk, DVD etc)
  • Preparing, running and managing production work flows on company computer system, and resolving any issues that may arise during a production run in a timely fashion
  • Implementing QC of data throughout production work flows
  • Following guidelines, policies and procedures to ensure delivery of the highest quality products to internal stakeholders and external clients
  • Working effectively with team members to ensure data management, production and QC conducted within required timeframes
  • Completing project documentation as required
  • Performing other related tasks as requested by the team leader.


Requirements:

  • At least STPM or Pre U majoring in a science stream; or practical experience working in science / computing background
  • High level of computer proficiency
  • Organised and able to produce accurate work
  • Motivated to complete assigned responsibilities within set deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively with professionals from a variety of technical backgrounds
  • Willing to work in Kuala Lumpur
  • Malaysian citizenship or permanent residency


The following experience is desirable, but not mandatory:

  • Knowledge of, and experience working with, Linux
  • Oil/gas industry experience – with working knowledge of seismic or signal processing
